I Am An Arab & A Proud One
Inspired and deeply touched by Eman's & Roba's post regarding the same issue I join my voice to theirs and state that I am offended by these definitions of Arab in English dictionaries as well:

I am from the "Arabized Arabs" (musta`ribah) of North Arabia, descending from Anzah from Rabe’ah from Adnan, supposed to be a descendant of Ishmael (Ismail), my ancestors’ roots are known back to 1800 BC.
I don’t need to defend the Arabs honor here, or list their achievements or their crucial rule in the development of humanity, because history speaks for itself, science proves it everyday, and verses enchants my ears with it every night. Arabs are dedicated believers, brave warriors, passionate lovers, devoted scientists, talented poets, and most important of all they’re makers and inventors they’re not destroyers and never known to be such.
